Best Practices
Getting the best outputs
Invest in your product description
The single most impactful thing you can do to improve your ad quality is to write a strong product description. Do not just list features. Explain who the product is for, what problem it solves, how it works, and — most importantly — what transformation it creates. Thumbstop is a direct response tool, so the more transformation-focused your product description is, the more conversion-focused your ads will be.
Use real images, not just AI-generated ones
Thumbstop is designed to work with your existing image library. Real photos of your product, your founder, your customers, and your results will always outperform purely AI-generated images in terms of authenticity and trust. Upload as many relevant images as possible to your product assets.
Start with one or two images per generation
More images is not always better. Keeping it to one or two images per campaign gives the AI a clear focal point and typically produces cleaner, more intentional-looking ads.
Test multiple ad concepts
Do not commit to a single concept. Generate ads across several different concepts — transformations, before-and-afters, social proof, educational angles — and test them in your campaigns. Your audience will tell you which frames perform best.
Use custom instructions to iterate fast
Once you have a concept you like, use the custom instruction box to test variations. Try focusing on different pain points, different benefits, or different demographics from the same audience. This is one of the fastest ways to build a strong creative library.
Generate in bulk for split testing
Select four variations when launching campaigns to maximise the creative surface area of each run. You will often find that one of the four variations significantly outperforms the others.
