Step 3 — Adding your product
How do I add a product?
Enter your product page URL and the AI will automatically pull in product images, a description, and the product type. Review and edit this information to make sure it is accurate and complete.
What product types are available?
- Physical Product — for e-commerce and tangible goods
- Service — for agencies, consultants, and service-based businesses
- Digital Product — for courses and digital downloads
- Software — for SaaS and app businesses
- Local Business — for businesses serving a local area
What are product assets and why are they important?
Product assets are the images Thumbstop will use when generating your ads. These are central to the output — the AI places your images into ad concepts rather than generating everything from scratch. This is what makes Thumbstop feel authentic rather than artificial.
You can add any of the following as product assets:
Two extras worth doing
- Scrape customer reviews — Thumbstop can pull real customer reviews from your product URL. The language in those reviews sharpens your audience and messaging, so ads speak the way your customers actually do.
- Calibrate product size— set your product's real-world dimensions so generated scenes represent its scale accurately (no shampoo bottles the size of a fridge).
Should I add a product description?
Yes, and this is one of the most powerful things you can do. A strong product description that explains what the product does, who it is for, how it works, and what transformation it creates will dramatically improve your ad outputs. A purely feature-focused description will produce feature-focused ads. A transformation-focused description will produce emotionally resonant ads that perform better.
